Her Time is a hypothetical group exhibition of 8 East Asian female artists.

Motherhood is an overrated word on so many occasions, but it still underrated. In East Asia, the traditional concept of motherhood has been too deeply rooted within Confucianism to the subservience of women to men as natural and proper. On the other hand, as the minority of a minority, Asian female artists deserve more attention. In this group exhibition, motherhood and feminism will be unfolded in different artistic languages and expressions, by using installations, performance, paintings, photography, and unique point of view from 8 Asian female artists.

“Her Time” lies economically unquantifiable housework, female personal value and story being ignored in formal ‘his-story’, as well as society’s strict expectation builds a barrier keeping men’s empathy fail to bridge with women’s insecurity and pressure from itself. These subtle emotions were captured by artists, and present the feeling deep in their hearts to us.
