Redesign a prototype issue for Juxtapoz magazine. Establish the editorial content, featured narratives, and identity design. Emphasis on content creation and curation, incorporating image and type integration.

The Summer 2020 issue claims this interesting fate of starting the creative process before the pandemic and being completed in the midst of it.
The magazine opening with masthead, table of contents, editor’s note, and a short photo essay. The first feature is an interview with artist 1010. 1010 spoke about these ideas and the influence of Op art, referencing current events in his work and how desire plays into his upcoming projects.
The second feature is “Beyond Canvas and Glasses.” Three different museums made different decisions during COVID-19 to survive in an uncertain period and launched a new exhibition method. To give people insights into how museums dealing with the global pandemic and give readers a better understanding of what they could do to help museums and art galleries.
The third feature is a photo essay. Short essay about the art philosophy behind Kristine Potter’s work. Kristine Potter not only a photographer but an artist. Her works are powerful yet full of aesthetics.
The last feature is a journal from Martin Machado. Martin Machado planned to sail a boat and paint during his voyage. He documented his unique journey through California under the global pandemic. A creative journey under a particular time is a very inspiring story as Martin Machado documented his feeling and painting through this journey.
